Autel MaxiSys Elite Diagnostic Tool Common problem solving methods

1. updating Autel MaxiSYS Elite to firmware 3.21? My maxisys communicate with the MaxiFlash J2534 but Maxiflash elite cannot communicate with any cars!

2. How to install Google play store in Autel maxisys elite

3. I’m trying to program BMW car and I cannot. All the hardware are done
You still need to within your free update period , you need a good WIFI connection to your network and internet from your work area , and Autel’s server to access what programming and advanced coding that is available for the year , make, model, and module of the BMW. Kind of like a successful Cr@pshoot with Interstellar travel to an Earth like planet to align the CAS afterwards too.

4. I may be silly here but my maxisys elite has NO Ethernet port for BMW programming. I have looked all over the tablet. The only ports I have are 2 x usb, hdmi, otg, headphone and power?
1.Yes Autel has a separate adapter for it. You need to purchase it separately.
2. You can buy any Android compatible ethernet-USB adapter from any place. But you have to be sure that works with Android, because if the adapter is just for PC it will not work with the tablet.

5. how to programming the vehicle modules
Autel MaxiSys Elite / Autel MaxiSys Pro MS908P can only support to program BMW and Benz.

6. My Autel MaxiSYS Elite Multitask will not turn on.
you need to go to System Setting->App Switcher, please select it.

7. I cannot get my MaxiSys Elite to send reports or anything with the email option. It also do not want to print to my wireless HP Deskjet 4645 altough i pick it up. I have my Maxisys running from my iPad hotspot.
What’s your system version? Please go to Maxisys-Update to download all the latest system version and try again. Our current version can’t support to Wi-Fi printer, so you need to install Maxisys PC link in your PC to print the doc out.

8. I can’t find the vehicles that covereged by maxisys elite in the website
I need to buy this device but first I need to know the vehicles covered,
Plus, how much is for renewal for this device


9. I have problem with latest Benz update, installation bar goes up to 50% and give message installation error, there is no app Benz in uninstall section.
please check and see is there a benz folder under below path: “ES files EXPLORER—-scan—vehicle–Europe—–Benz”. If there is one, please delete it. Also delete it if you find one under “ES files EXPLORER—scan—download” and “Maxisys—data manager—Apps Uninstall”. Then restart Maxisys elite and re-load and install the Benz software.

10. How to program key for my car ?
Try the following:
IMMO -> 1.Immobilizer Setup -> Add and Delete Keys

11.Which is the activation code because I don’t have it please
Do you mean the register code? You can find it in Maxisys-About page.

12. how I can used e-mail sending by max?
There is an Email app pre-installed in Maxisys , marked in red below. You can set your email account step by step.

13. We just recieved our Maxisys Elite WQ8MAXISYSELITE, but when we try to register it, it says that the product does not exist.
As for your case, please register your device in our website as following steps:
1.Log in our website http://pro.auteltech.com/ with your ID and password.
2.Please click “Product Registration”. Select your product model, fill in the serial No. and register password to finish the registration. As for the serial No. and register password, you can Please touch “About” in the tool, and you will find them.
PS: Please select the right product model and fill in the right register password which can be checked in About page.



14. I am using Autel maxisys Elite, and the internal memory almost full. I bought a SD card (32GB), how can I do that new updates will be written into SD card not internal memory?
Our tool can’t accept external SD card to install vehicle software. It is suggested you format the SD card and download BMW, Benz, VW, which has big size first. Then you can download other vehicles.

MaxiSys Elite Special Functions

These functions of MaxiSys Elite perform various component adaptations, allowing you to recalibrate or configure certain components after making repairs or replacement.
The main section of the Adaptation Operation screen displays a list of operational and vehicle status information, which mainly consists of four parts:
1.The first part in the top line shows the description of the operation being performed, and the execution status is displayed on the right, such as Completed, or Activated, etc.
2.The second part shows the preconditions or requirements for executing the operation being selected.
The third part displays the current conditions of the OBD2 Scanner control module being learned for comparison to the preconditions suggested by the second part. If the current condition of the control module is out of the suggested limit value, you must adjust the vehicle condition to meet the requirement

4.The last part displays the instruction of how to use the functional button at the lower right corner of the screen to manipulate the teach-in operations.

Read the information carefully and check the Autel Scanner condition accordingly, when you are sure that the vehicle is ready to perform the adaptation, simply follow the instruction provided to make appropriate selections. When the operation is done, an execution status message such as Completed, Finished or Successful, displays.
Tap the ESC button to exit the function.

My working experience about Autel MaxiSys Pro MS908P

I am using Autel Maxisys Pro MS908P more than half year, it can do what I paid, it works fine in my workshop. Comes with everything in the packing list, use it for scanning of ABS , Air bag , engine , and everything the car can communication with, all the good working.


Autel MaxiSys MS908 Pro itself has already supported ECU programming function for BENZ and BMW cars, if you need to get support for more car models, you must use J2534 device along with OEM software to implement this function. Let me just say I had no problem registering this online at Autel and I took serial number and password right from the machines screen as they show online. After I registered I also installed the CD that was supplied I did that no issues. Then I bought a 32GB sd card (Ultra) not that it matters but that’s the max, I clicked install all updates on the card and boom all went on. Then I took the card out of the machine the 8GB supplied and updated that as a back up. I’m also gonna order one more 32GB to keep in the safe. No issues at all my serial number had a Q in it which is the USA one. My wifi works good as well.

I owe many scanner , The Autel MS908P has give me the capabliety to scan more vehicles , look at more features. I very happy with the pruchase. I would recommend this scanner to anyone, affordable.has done wonder for my shop.

Best bang for your buck hands down, I’m a master technician with ten years experience as a professional tech. For the money this scanner does more than any of its competitors for a fraction of the price. It puts my snap on scanner to shame! Does almost every make and model I program keys with it, reset adaption and service lights, look at live data , run tests, etc can’t go wrong

We have a small used car dealership and Autel MaxiSys Pro has been more than sufficient, pulling codes from different modules, the live data and the ability to communicate with nearly any make/model. If there is one complaint, it’s that it doesn’t have an internal battery so it always has to be plugged in, can’t walk around with it with it on. The updates are constantly coming in which is another plus. It could use a little tuning, some words are misspelled but otherwise its been working fine.

I am still learning all the ins and outs of this piece of equipment, but I couldn’t do my job without it. It is awesome! I concur with the warnings of others – be sure you order one that is not from China so that you can receive updates.
