How to Change Speed Limit with PLD File Editor for John Deere Service Advisor EDL V2?

 We have two version software V4.0 and V4.2 for John Deere Service Advisor EDL V2:

1.V4.0 software: Support Languages: English

2.V4.2 software:Support Languages: English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese

Notice: If you want to do 3038E truck, then need to use V4.2 software (Hardisk Version).

With John Deere PLD File Encryptor/Decryptor you can:

I see in bottom of each files info about my tractor (option, serial number etc)

Question: My goal is up the speed limit from 40km to 50 km. I think I have to change OPTION=3 to OPTION=5, but do I have to edit each 11 pld file?

You were right about the speed limit:

you can change OPTION=3 to OPTION=4 or any other you need.

Speed_30kmh = 1;

Speed_35kmh = 2;

Speed_40kmh = 3;

Speed_50kmh = 4;

Speed_ECO = 5;

Speed_NoiseRed_OOS = 6;

For R models the line is different. ROADSPEEDLIMIT=3 change to ROADSPEEDLIMIT=5 or any other you need.

You only need to reprogram transmission controller for that.

If you reprogrammed all of them, some settings might have went to default so you might get up to 5 fault codes that you need to configure with SA.

I have a question about trying to up the power of a 6330 to a 6430. If I compare the engine pld of both tractor they are identical (just the info in the bottom is different) So I don’t know how it could up the power if all the code is the same??

most pld files are made for various models, the info at the bottom determines which part of the pld file will be used for programming. For example:

How to Solve John Deere Service Advisor Search Engine Error

(Solved) John Deere Service Advisor Search Engine Error

This is for anyone when he/she runs the John Deere Service Advisor, the system appears error message that the search engine module can not be loaded and then the program ends.

NOTE THAT YOU ARE TRYING ANY TRICK ON YOUR OWN RISK.

Optional solutions:

Solution 1:

Run as system administrator, roll back pc date reactivate using activator Then roll date back to normal date if error still renew once again. Been working for me so far.

Note that, don’t know how long it stay working but works im sure someone will have solution for it soon.

Also advice if doing fresh install roll back the date on pc do the install after then install and activations have been done.
Go to task manager look for the service adviser on have it start its tasks in 2030 :save and then reset your pc date should be good for while

Solution 2:

if you set a date before the lightweightidol license expired, start the lightweightidol service, set the real date and start Advisor, it works.

Solution 3:

start advisor. when error comes with “search engine” Close John Deere SA. afterwards set your PC date to feburary 2015. start SA again (run as administrator). it now comes with error on licence. close SA Again. set pc date back to normal. run SA Again. now it Works.

Solution 4:

The search engine error can be solved.
Set back the date, before the expiry date found in Service ADVISOR\SUIR\license.log (august 14 in my case). Start LightweightIDOL service. Set the real date, and Advisor working again.
I made a batch file to simplify it. To make it work Control Panel/Regional/short date format have to be yyyy-mm-dd or you have to modify batch. Maybe you have to modify ServiceADVISOR.exe path too in the batch. Have to run as administrator.

Solution 5:

I have had the same error with ssearch engine connection in JD SA.
reinstalled it twice, changed system date back and forward, run activator. No result for me.

But actually I found the solution for this issue.

Solution 6:

back date to 08.10.16
install JD SA, restart, activate, mount latest disk you have (05.2016) and install update, for finish get license error, ignore and close, set actualy date, run JD SA -> works fine, install july update

testing today on 3 laptops (Windows 7 and 10)

On a side note: procedure about turning off the updates don’t know how long it stay working but works im sure someone will have solution for it soon.

Also advice if doing fresh install roll back the date on pc do the install after then install and activations have been done.
goto task manager look for the service adviser on have it start its tasks in 2030 :save and then reset your pc date should be good for while Smile (SO TURN IT OFF IN TASKMANAGER SO IT STARTS 20 30 YEARS FROM NOW!!)

Fresh new installations also work but can be much more complicated sure a patch would be much easier. But it can be done with out a patch so far

In taskmanager I don’t stop any service just put service advisor updater to 2030 to start

also makes sure eculp.ini configurator reads like this

Porsche Macan Hidden Functions are Activated with PIWIS-1
Lots of small optional PCM features can be activated with Piwis III. Obviously, these features must be installed by the factory – you can use PIWIS to see what installed but not activated.

Here is a short list of such options:

Activation is performed by entering 16 digit hex code into PIWIS, which is then sent to PCM ECU in a single UDS CAN message. This code is derived from VIN and feature you are trying to enable. Given that you can buy these codes easily from various online sites, it’s obvious that algorithm has been successfully reverse engineered

You don’t need online connection for activation, but this is a common way for dealers to *get* the code.

Example 1: Lower /reprogram Porsche Macan Air Suspension thru PIWIS 3

Basically the dealer or repair shop just needs to go into the air suspension control module with the Porsche piwis tester and add 20 millimeters to your current suspension settings input by the factory, you have to add to the number on the Macan to make the car go lower. They may try to subtract because this it how it works on the Cayenne and Panamera, but the Macan is different.

Here is an example of what they would do, these numbers are arbitrary, so do not use them in your own car.

Left Front original coding 414, they would add 20 to make it 434
Right Front original coding 416, they would add 20 to make it 436
Left Rear original coding 418, they would add 20 to make it 438
Right Rear original coding 414, they would add 20 to make it 434.

This is basically the logic behind it and these numbers do not mean anything, so do not input them into the car, I have no idea what your factory settings are as each car may be slightly different, they are set at the factory based upon many different parameters.

Also do this at your own risk, as I have no clue on how this will affect your warranty or the service life of the air suspension.

In my opinion, the car actually would look better if you lower the front by 10mm more than the rear, because of the shape of the wheel arches, sometimes the Macan looks as if it is squatting in the back.

Also 20mm is less than an inch and to be honest, it will not even look like you have lowered the car.

Good to know:

1.PIWIS III / PIWIS II will allow you to drop your Macan and turn on and off various factory features. It won’t do a tune or change the algorithm that controls the valves if you still want them to respond to the buttons. To do that you have to hack the various controllers in the car, or the ECU. While this is standard practise in a lot of the hacker community on common GM, Ford and other ECUs, it is notoriously difficult to do for the Siemens SDI system in late model Porsches.

2.PIWIS II is replaced by PIWIS III, Porsche PIWIS III is more expensive than PIWIS II, but it can cover newer Porsche cars [Paramera (971) 2018, Caynenne (92A) 2018, Macan (95B) 2018, Macan (95B) 2018, 911 (991) 2018] and have more user-friendly features.

CnAutotool.com released a major update for its in-shop diagnostic and repair system, JPRO Professional, and shared details about a new SaaS application called the Vehicle Insights Portal (VIP).

The new version of JPRO Professional builds upon the software’s bi-directional tests for medium and heavy-duty vehicles. This functionality was expanded across most major engine manufacturers, in addition to tests to improve evaluation of braking systems.

“JPRO is made by technicians, for technicians,” said Jason Hedman, JPRO product manager. “My staff and I address real-world issues by adding features to JPRO that make the technician’s job easier. For example, we understand the difficulties faced when trying to diagnose communication issues, so for this release we added functionality that allows JPRO to display CAN error frame data, which helps the tech locate the source of the issue.”

The company noted that all active JPRO Professional subscribers are eligible to update to the latest software at no charge.

Configuring Cat Electronic Technician to use the Communication Adapter 3
For Cat Electronic Technician to work with the Communication Adapter 3, the settings must be changed to select the Communication Adapter 3 as the Communication Interface Device:
Step 1 Start Cat Electronic Technician.
Step 2 Click the Stop Connect button when it appears.
Step 3 Select the Utilities menu.
Step 4 Choose “Preferences > Modify…”.
Step 5 Select the Communications tab.
Step 6 Select Cat Comm Adapter 3 (RP1210) and click OK.
NOTE: Because a growing number of products require multiple data link service, the “Enable Dual Datalink Service” checkbox has been pre-selected.
Servicing ECMs on more than one data link requires this check box to be enabled.
Failure to do this will result in undetected ECMs and reduced functionality.
